Kevin Miles, Chief Executive Officer and President

Kevin Miles has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer since October 2012, was appointed Director in December 2013, and served as President and Chief Operating Officer from February 2011 to October 2012. Mr. Miles joined us in 2009 as Executive Vice President of Operations. From 2008 to 2009, Mr. Miles was Executive Vice President of Operations of Pollo Campero. His leadership has led to recent recognition with the 2016 Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Southwest Region and Nation's Restaurant News 2016 Golden Chain Award. In previous years, Mr. Miles was honored in Nation's Restaurant News and Fast Casual magazine as "Top 10 Executives to Watch" and "Top Movers and Shakers.” Mr. Miles received his Bachelor's Degree in 1989 from Texas A&M University. He brings to our Board of Directors leadership skills, strategic guidance and operational vision from prior experience in the industry.


Sunil Doshi, Chief Financial Officer

Sunil Doshi has served as or Chief Financial Officer since October 2015. Mr. Doshi joins Zoës Kitchen with significant experience from highly respected global retail organizations that specialize in branded, lifestyle based consumer products. Since May of 2013, he has served as Chief Financial Officer for Fossil Americas, the $1.8 billion division of Fossil Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: FOSL). Mr. Doshi joined Fossil Group in February of 2012 as VP Finance for Fossil Group’s Global Retail Division and was responsible for developing and executing key strategies across brands, distribution channels and geographies as well as building out the financial planning and analysis group. Prior to joining Fossil Group, Mr. Doshi served in multiple financial leadership roles from 1999 to 2012 at L Brands Inc. (NYSE: LB), including serving as Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, from 2010 to 2012, at Mast Global, L Brands’ internally-owned supply chain arm, and as Vice President, Retail Finance at Bath & Body Works, from 2006 to 2010. He also served in leadership roles at the company’s Victoria’s Secret division and in its Corporate planning and Treasury groups. Prior to L Brands, Mr. Doshi worked at several large, multinational companies, including BP and Ernst & Young.

Casey Shilling, Chief Marketing Officer

Casey Shilling joined Zoës Kitchen in 2016 as Chief Marketing Officer with more than 20 years of experience building lifestyle brands, including marketing campaign development and execution, digital strategy, new store launches, new product launches, innovative partnerships, consumer engagement and field communication. Mrs. Shilling leads the Zoës Kitchen marketing team to build brand awareness and to engage guests through sales-driving integrated marketing programs, digital, loyalty, public relations, social media campaigns, and other omnichannel marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Zoës Kitchen, Mrs. Shilling served as Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at The Container Store. Over her long tenure with the storage and organization retailer, Mrs. Shilling helped build the brand, leading the company’s national and local marketing, new store launches, digital content creation, social media, public relations and community outreach. During her time there she also oversaw the company’s recruiting, training and workplace culture initiatives. Prior to The Container Store, Mrs. Shilling worked for marketing agencies Bustin & Co. and Meltzer and Martin Public Relations doing consumer packaging, retail, restaurant and hospitality client work. Mrs. Shilling received her Bachelor’s degree in 1992 from Texas State University.


Allyn Taylor, Chief Development Officer

Allyn Taylor has served as Chief Development Officer since December 2015 and Vice President of Development from October 2011 to December 2015. From April 2007 to January 2011, Mr. Taylor served as Senior Manager of Real Estate for Panera Bread and Vice President of Real Estate for P.F. Chang's and Pei Wei. Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor's Degree in 1986 from the University of Texas at Austin.


James Besch, Vice President of Accounting

James Besch has served as our Vice President of Accounting since October 2015 and Controller since January 2013. Prior to joining Zoës Kitchen, Mr. Besch served as Regional Controller and Director of SEC reporting for Club Corp, Inc. from November 2003 to December 2012. Mr. Besch began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1996. Mr. Besch received his Master's Degree in 1996 from the University of Texas. He is a Certified Public Accountant.


Michael Todd, General Counsel

Michael Todd has served as our General Counsel since August 2014 and our Secretary since November 2014. From November 2012 until joining Zoës Kitchen, Mr. Todd provided corporate counseling to licensing, real estate and technology companies. From May 2011 to November 2012, Mr. Todd served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of UnitedLex Corporation. From June 2003 to May 2011, Mr. Todd worked in various roles at American Tower Corporation culminating in Senior Vice President-Corporate Counsel. From 2008 to 2014, he served as an Adjunct Professor teaching Securities Regulation as Campbell Law School. Prior to 2003, Mr. Todd served as a Partner in the corporate group of Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge and Rice, LLP and served as a junior attorney at the SEC. Mr. Todd received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Miami School of Law, and his Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University.
